GUWAHATI, June 17 - Governor PB Acharya felicitated the top ten position holders of HSSLC Exam-2016 on the second day of the felicitation function held at Durbar Hall of Raj Bhawan today.

While addressing the function, the Governor lauded the young achievers and asked them to acquire more knowledge to become an asset to the nation. He also urged the students to make up their mindset to work for their society in order to make a �Golden Assam.�

To that end, the Governor appealed to all young students to always keep in mind a philosophy � democracy, secularism and diversity of the great nation.

The students were also felicitated with a traditional gamosa, letter of appreciation, and a book of great personality along with a pen. The principal/head of the institutes were also felicitated with a gamosa and a certificate.

The welcome address was delivered by Ajay Tiwari, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor. Short speeches by the top students from each stream were heard during the function. The top two position holders of CBSC Exam-2016 in the State were also felicitated.
