GUWAHATI, March 11 - Governor Banwarilal Purohit today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for leading the BJP to a historic mandate in the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa, and said his pro-people development rhetoric has yielded good results in the polls. In a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister, Purohit said the mandate confirms that the people have approved and appreciated the initiatives such as measures for eradication of corruption, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Jan Dhan Yojana, surgical strike, demonetisation and various schemes for farmers, poor and the downtrodden taken by the NDA Government.
