DHUBRI, April 30 - Guru asan was installed at the Bhanu Kumari Satra, at Coochbehar district of West Bengal, with religious fervour and enthusiasm on Monday.
Although the Bhanu Kumari Satra, was established in the year 2017, but the place Bhanu Kumari at West Bengal has a lot of historic and religious importance in the Vaisnavite culture. �It was a place where the principal disciple of Madhabdev, Harihar Atoi gave up his life�, said Jitendra Nath Prodhani, the president of Assam Satra Mahasabha.
Talking to this correspondent Prodhani said that although this area longed for such a religious institution, we could establish a satra only in 2017. �Looking at the interest of the people towards Satriya culture in this part of West Bengal, we with the help of our donors and well-wishers successfully installed the divine Guru asan�, he added. On this occasion, a day-long religious meeting was also held.
