Gurpurab of Guru Tegh Bahadur

DHUBRI, Nov 29 - The 341st Shaheedi Gurpurab of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji and 350th Assam Aagman Diwas will be celebrated at Dhubri Sahib Gurudwara from December 2 to 4.

The Sikh Pratinidhi Board Eastern Zone, which is managing the historic occasion, expects hundreds of Sikh devotees from all over the world. They also informed that the devotees have already begun thronging the town and many have set up makeshift shops with religious materials.

�Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur is an important event in Sikh history and it has significant impact on the Sikh religion,� said Gurpreet Singh, a devotee who has arrived from Patna. He added that Guru Tegh Bahadar, the ninth Sikh Guru, sacrificed everything for the protection of right to religious freedom.
