JORHAT, Jan 11 � Guinness Book of World Records holder Abhijeet Baruah in a press conference here on Friday said that a section of people in Jorhat has been trying to malign him by passing some baseless and misleading comments on him in the media in past few days.
�I have decided to file a suit against them because their false and misleading comments has defamed me,� said Abhijeet. However, he refrained from naming anyone involved in the �conspiracy�. According to him a lady has mislead the mediapersons also by saying that his name was not included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Pointing out his record on page 257 of the book Guinness World Records 2013 Baruah said that she had no right to malign him by �false and baseless comments�. Abhijeet ran 156.2 kilometres barefoot in Jorhat on January 30 and 31 in 2012 and made the record in greatest distance run in 24 hours.
