GUWAHATI, June 7 - In order to sensitise railway officials, passengers and other stakeholders on the issue of child safety, the Chairman of Railway Board has directed general managers of all zonal railways to popularise a guidebook on �Creating a child-friendly and protective environment for children in contact with Railways�.
Prepared by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, the guidebook will be popularised through sensitisation workshops for officials. The task will also be undertaken by the Maligaon-headquartered NF Railway, said an official statement.
