GUWAHATI, March 21 - To safeguard the health and wellbeing of its employees, the Gauhati University authorities restricted the entry of outsiders in its campus from Saturday. The university requested all the heads of departments and administrative heads to ensure presence of 50 per cent employees in single working day and to instruct other 50 per cent employees to work from home.
In the same way, all were instructed not to entertain any outside visitor except emergency.
From March 23, the ASTC bus service in the university will remain suspended till March 31. The registrar of the university, HK Nath, also said that all the pre-scheduled selection committee meetings for appointment of various vacant posts have also been postponed.
