GUWAHATI, April 8 � The Gauhati University Inter College Cricket Tournament resumed after a gap of 10 days at the GU campus today.
The tournament started on March 28 but due to bad weather the championship had to be put off. In a low scoring first round match today, Nalbari College defeated host team Gauhati University by 5 wickets, chasing a small target of 65 .
The tournament is being organised by the GU Sports Board in collaboration with Assam Cricket Association (ACA). In two first round matches played earlier, Dispur College defeated Abhiruchi Institute of Physical Education while KC Das Commerce College got the better of Pragjyotish College.
