GU institute organising nat�l meet in March

GUWAHATI, Feb 17 - The Gauhati University Institute of Distance and Open Learning is organizing a national conference on March 19 and 20 on the topic �Issues in Northeast India and the role of ODL and OER in Higher Education�, according to a press release issued here today.

A number of themes have been lined up for the purpose, including social, political, developmental and economic issues. Education and gender issues will also be discussed at the conference and it will also touch upon diversified issues relating to open and distance learning as well as open educational resources, together with the aspects of technology and quality.

The conference intends to provide a common platform for exchange of innovative ideas, knowledge and experience for the benefit of the participants. It will feature keynote and plenary addresses by distinguished invited speakers.

The organizing committee has invited research papers from academicians, researchers, professionals and students on various themes and sub-themes of the conference, the details of which are available on the Institute website. The last day for submission of abstracts is March 4, 2019, the press release informed.
