JALUKBARI, April 28 - Changing its academic calendar to mitigate the loss due to the medical emergency situation, the Gauhati University authority has announced that the admission process for the next session to its undergraduate (UG) degree courses will be over by July 15.

Examinations for the second, fourth and sixth semesters will be held in July. The remaining internal UG examinations will be assignment-based.

UG students whose physical, laboratory-based and field-based activities have been hampered will be allowed to submit library or e-library-based project work for the ongoing semester. The same will be applicable to PG students also.

All PG exams will be held from August 15 and internal exams will be assignment-based. The new PG session will commence on September 15. The decisions have been taken on the assumption that academic activities in the State will resume from June 1.
