JALUKBARI, July 27 - The 4th convention of Gauhati University Alumni Association (GUAA) will be held with a daylong programme at the Phanidhar Datta Seminar Hall on August 5. The inaugural function will be attended and addressed by prominent alumni of the university.

Dr Ramesh Chandra Deka, former dean and director, AIIMS, New Delhi and present Vice Chancellor of Assam Down Town University, will inaugurate the function. Dr Hitesh Deka, Vice Chancellor of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) and Dr Rituparna Bhattacharyya, editor-in-chief, Journal Space and Culture India, UK will attend the function as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

On-spot membership registration facility for non-members will be available. All members have been requested to actively participate in the general body meeting to elect/select a new executive committee. They have been requested not to wait for separate invitation letter.
