GUWAHATI, Sept 6 � The 4th Gauhati Town Club Challenge Football Trophy will start tomorrow at the Judges� Field with Morning Star Club, Diphu taking on Abutani Sports Club, Guwahati at 4 pm, said Debojit Saikia, secretary of GTC in a press meet here today.
Saikia said, �Altogether 12 teams will be participating in the meet where most of the matches will played under lights. The winners of the meet will take home Rs 50,000 while the runners-up will be richer by Rs 25,000. The Best Player of the Tournament will take home a LCD TV.
�The final will be played on September 15 and on that day five reputed footballers of the State � Nripen Singha, Gilbertson Sangma, Nripen Sobhapandit, Bhakta Bahadur Chetry and Binod Barua � will be felicitated.�
The teams: Shillong Lajong FC, Assam Rifles, Oil India Limited, Arhima FC, Gauhati Town Club, Morning Star, NF Railway, FCI, Assam Police Blues, Green Valley, Moran Twon Club, Abutani SC.
