GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - In a crucial match of the GSA Super Division Football League for the RG Baruah Trophy, Gauhati Town Club (GTC) played a 3-3 draw against NF Railway Sports Club (NFR SC) to share points.
In the entertaining match at the Nehru Stadium here today, Jitu Ahmed put GTC ahead in the ninth minute. But Bappa Biswas made it 1-1 in the 22nd minute and both the teams went for the break at the same score line.
After resumption, Jitu fired his second salvo in the 60th minute to give GTC a 2-1 lead. It was Jelendra Brahma who drew parity in the 87th minute and after just two minutes Bijoy Gogoi made it 3-2 in favour of NF Railway. However, Amin saved the day for GTC by scoring the equaliser in the injury time.
