GUWAHATI, Feb 1 - Gauhati Town Club (GTC) A team made it to the final of the Ramesh Baruah Memorial Cricket Tournament.
In a thrilling first semifinal of the championship, the host team edged past River Rine Club in the Super Over as the match earlier ended in a tie.
Batting first GTC scored a challenging 139 for the loss of nine wickets in 30 overs. Nitin Das was their top scorer with 31 while Ram Kripal Gupta added 30.
Later the match was reduced to 28 overs and chasing the target River Rine also scored 139 for nine. In the Super Over, GTC emerged winners scoring more runs.
