GUWAHATI, March 2 - Gauhati Town Club (GTC) emerged champions in the Guwahati Sports Association (GSA) chapter of the Assam Premier Club Championship.

In the final played at the Judges� Field here today, GTC posted a convincing 46-run victory against Bud Cricket Club. Being asked to bat first, GTC notched up a challenging total of 167 for nine in their stipulated 40 overs. Simanta Neogi, who was adjudged the Man-of-the-Match, top scored with 59 not out.

In reply, Bud CC were all out for 121 in 35 overs. Man-of-the-Series Bikash Chetry took three Bud wickets for 11 runs.

Brief scores: GTC 167/9 in 40 overs (Simanta Neogi 59, Bikash Chetry 24, Ranjit Changmai 20; Pushparaj Sharma 4/26, Bhaskarjyoti Barman 3/40). Bud CC 121 in 35 overs (Shivam Mittal 22; Bikash Chetry 3/11, Neeraj Tiwari 2/22).
