GUWAHATI, March 15 � Gauhati Town Club recorded a facile 42-run victory against Ankurjyoti Club in today�s match of the GSA A Division Cricket League for the Bhupen Chandra Mahanta Trophy.
At the Nehru Stadium here, Town Club scored a smart total of 196 losing seven wickets in 35 overs. Simanta Neog cracked a swashbuckling 41-ball 72 with five boundaries and as many sixers which virtually enabled Town in reaching a healthy total. Ankurjyoti boys lost their control midway through the innings and were all out for 154 in 32.1 overs. Veteran Deep Bora wrecked the Ankurjyoti innings with a five-wicket haul.
