TURA, Nov 25 - Amidst pressure from GHADC employees, the Garo Students� Union (GSU) and Federation for A�chik Freedom (FAF) called off their picketing of Council offices today on the second day of protest.
Appeals from Council employees, in the light of two month pending salary to be released this week, led to the NGOs calling off the stir.
The NGOs had been protesting the alleged Rs 100.71 crore scam in the GHADC. The NGOs had even locked the doors to the Council barring employees and MDCs from entering the premises.
