�GSCL not given any prog during current emergency�

GUWAHATI, April 20 - Reacting to a news report over the inactivity of the Guwahati Smart City Limited (GSCL) during the present medical emergency situation which was published in The Assam Tribune recently, its senior official Pranab Barua in a statement has said that the State government has not entrusted any programme or scheme to GSCL to be carried out in this regard.

The statement also said that it is the duty of the Board of Directors of the GSCL to take decisions regarding implementation of any scheme or programme. It said the GSCL is yet to receive any proposal from the Assam State Transport Corporation regarding setting up of sanitizer boxes at bus stations and supply of electrical fogging machines.

The statement also added that GSCL has successfully conducted a survey on the �Ease of Living� programme and the data collection process has been completed along with updation of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs portal.
