IMPHAL, June 18 - BSF personnel recovered a hand grenade during routine patrol at Waba Chingkgong area of Heirok Part-II in Thoubal district of Manipur at around 10.40 am on Saturday, reports said.
Later, a bomb disposal retieved retrieved the grenade and destroyed it safely at a nearby paddy field.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles troops apprehended a drug peddler carrying 860 numbers of WY tablets, worth Rs 4.30 lakh at Khudengthabi check post in Chandel district on Thursday, according to a press release.
The peddler was identified as Nengneikin Khongsai, a woman of Tengnoupal under Chandel district.
