MANGALDAI, Aug 22 � An explosion took place in the Mangaldai Police Station complex this evening around 6.35 pm, causing injury to a mediaperson, two police constables, one home guard and a minor girl.
A suspected militant coming on foot hurled the Chinese grenade inside the police station complex. Officer-in-Charge of the PS Shashi Dhar Das had a providential escape. The injured have been identified as Dulal Deka who represents UB Photos and Prag Channel, constables Gauri Kanta Sarma and Prabodh Nath of the Traffic wing, home guard jawan Pabitra Deka and ten-year-old Bobina Yasmin of Nagarbahi near here. The critically injured Pabitra Deka has been referred to GMCH.
