GUWAHATI, March 19 - Mar Gregorios Orthodox Syrian Church situated at Adarsha Colony, Maligaon, will remember the last days of Jesus Christ on earth as Passion Week from March 20 to 27.

According to Rev Fr Joji Rajan, vicar of the church, on March 20 Hosanna (Palm Sunday) will be conducted from 8 am to 11.30 am and evening prayer at 6.30 pm. On March 21, 22 and 23, the evening prayer will be held at 6.30 pm.

On March 23, the Holy Pesaha Qurbana will be held at 7.30 pm. On March 24, Pesaha (Maundy Thursday) evening prayer will be held at 6.30 pm, while Holy Qurbana and Vachanippu Perunnal will be held at 7.30 pm.

On March 25, Nalla Velliyazhcha (Good Friday) service will be conducted from 8.30 am to 3 pm. After the Good Friday service, Kanji will be provided to the devotees. On the same day, evening prayer and Bible reading will start at 6.30 pm.

Programmes marked for March 26 (Holy Saturday) will include remembrance of all departed souls early in the morning, morning prayer at 7.30 am, Holy Qurbana at 8.30 am, evening prayer at 6 pm and Holy Qurbana and Easter service at 7 pm.
