Green Valley complete semis line-up

GUWAHATI, July 18 � Green Valley Sports Club completed the semifinal line-up in the GSA organised and Kaamakaazi Restaurant sponsored NN Bhattacharyya Football Tournament.

Dominating the proceeding from the word go, Green Valley outsmarted Sarusajai Sports Club 4-1 in the last quarterfinal at the Nehru Stadium here today. Foreign recruits Yeboa and Peter scored two goals each, while Korno Tumung reduced the margin

Yeboa opened the account in the 7th minute, while Peter increased the margin in the 42nd minute. After the break, Yeboa struck again in the 47th minute converting a spot kick and Peter scored the final goal in the 75th minute. Before that, Korno netted the lone goal for the Sarusajai outfit. The Green Valley players today combined well from the initial stage and both the foreign players, Yeboa from Ghana and Peter from Nigeria, combined well at the up front.

The Sarusajai players also tried to make way to the opponent striking zone but lack of experience cost them dear.
