GUWAHATI, Sept 8 � Guwahati Public School (GPS) cruised into the final of the Padma Saikia and Sandhan Saikia Memorial U-15 Inter School Cricket Championship, organised by the City Cricket Coaching Centre.
In the first semifinal played at the Dispur playground today, GPS got the better of Gurukul Grammar Senior Secondary School by two wickets.
In reply to Gurukul�s 92 for nine in 20 overs, GPS scored 93 for the loss of eight wickets in 17.5 overs. Aman Sohail Haque top scored for Gurukul with 38 while Angshuman Katani scored match winning 25 for GPS.
Purbajyoti Lahkar of Gurukul (3/22) and Bishal Baruah of GPS (3/5) were the leading wicket takers.
