GUWAHATI, April 20 - The Guwahati Press Club (GPC) will distribute dry ration to city-based journalists and media workers who have been facing hardships in view of the COVID 19-induced lockdown.
In a statement, GPC president Manoj Kumar Nath and general secretary Sanjoy Ray said, �Due to various reasons, some journalists are facing difficulties in managing essential items for their families. So, the Guwahati Press Club has decided to help them in this hour of crisis. The initiative has been supported by businessman Bimal Nahata.�
The food items can be collected from the GPC premises. The statement also said that taking photographs or videos of the beneficiaries would be strictly restricted.
