GPC lift media cricket title

GUWAHATI, Dec 14 - Gauhati Press Club (GPC) annexed the TOPCEM-ASJA Inter Media T20 Cricket Tournament title organised by the Assam Sports Journalists Association. In the final played at the Judges� Field here today, GPC trounced Media Management by 36 runs. In reply to GPC�s 171 for four, Media Management could only score 135 for eight. Mriganka Sarma of the winning team received the man of the match trophy while Amaresh Sinha received the best bowler award.

In the closing function, president (sales and marketing) Meghalaya Cements Limited Dr Anil Kapoor, Director General of Sports Authority of Assam Onkar Kedia, NRL official Madhuchanda Adhikari, former cricketers Rajesh Bora, Subhrajit Saikia, Parag Das, former bureaucrat Swapnanil Baruah, GPC president Manoj Nath, GPC secretary Sanjoy Ray, managing director of Abhiruchi Institute of Physical Education Balendra Mohan Chakravorty, among others were present.
