TEZPUR, April 16 - State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora in a review meeting held yesterday evening at the Circuit House here said that the government and the local administration will make all arrangements for the sale of local farmers� produce in other States of the region.
Along with other parts of the State, the farmers in Sonitpur district are facing heavy losses this time due to the lack of common market to sell their produce, particularly the seasoned crops, including green vegetables.
After holding a meeting with the Deputy Vommissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh and other administrative officials, Bora stated that the farmers should not lose hope.
�We understand the condition of the farmers and took note of their losses,� he said, adding that the farmers here can sell their produce to the other States of the region and the government will extend all necessary help to them.
