Govt to start HS classes in Guwahati Blind School: Pramila

GUWAHATI, June 27 - The State government will introduce Higher Secondary classes in the Guwahati Blind School soon, announced Social Welfare Minister Pramila Rani Brahma here today.

The minister also stated that infrastructure development and appointment of teachers will also start in the school this year.

Brahma made the announcement while attending a felicitation programme for differently-abled students who have successfully passed the HSLC and Higher Secondary final examinations this year.

The programme was organised by the Pratibandhi Suraksha Sangstha, Assam, at the district library auditorium.

Speaking on the occasion, Media Adviser to the Chief Minister Hrishikesh Goswami said the State government would fix all issues of differently-abled persons of the State in a phased manner.

The Sangstha felicitated around 200 differently-abled students during the event.
