GUWAHATI, Nov 28 - The State Government has decided to hold the World Business Conclave in Guwahati to create a congenial atmosphere for foreign investment and to attract those members of the Assamese diaspora who have shone in foreign lands.
This decision was adopted at a meeting held here today under the presidentship of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in his Secretariat conference hall here. In keeping with this Conclave, it was also decided in the meeting to observe Assam Divas with the aim at projecting Assam�s art and culture at a global level, said an official press release here.
The Chief Minister said if Assam could be projected as an important area of South East Asia, this would make the investors confident to invest in the State.
