GUWAHATI, April 20 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today said that development of all sections of people of the State is the main goal of the government.
Addressing a function held to mark the silver jubilee of the All Assam Bengali Yuba Chatra Federation in the Veterinary College field here today, Gogoi said that India being a secular country, equal development of all sections of people should be the goal of any government.
Gogoi expressed the view that unity among all sections of people is necessary for all-round development of Assam. He assured that the Government would take all possible steps for the solution of the problems faced by the �D� voters. He also assured that the government would soon hold talks with the Federation on its demands.
The function was also addressed by Irrigation Minister Chandan Sarkar and the officer bearers of the Federation.
