Governor mourns State jawan�s death in Kashmir

GUWAHATI, Nov 14 - Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi has condoled the death of Haradhan Chandra Roy, a soldier belonging to Indian Army�s 59 Artillery Forward Regiment who laid down his life while on duty in Kashmir�s Uri sector on Friday.

In a statement today, Prof Mukhi, while condoling the death of Roy of Assam�s Dhubri district along with other jawans of the Indian Army, said that the sacrifice made by the jawans are glaring examples of valour, dedication and patriotism.

�They set an example of utmost sacrifice and love for the country which will never go in vain. Their dedication and devotion will definitely be a source of inspiration for posterity,� the Governor said.

Prof Mukhi extended his sympathies to the bereaved family of Roy and said that the State is proud of its son�s supreme sacrifice.
