GUWAHATI, April 13 � Assam Governor JB Patnaik today extended his Bihu greeting and best wishes to the people of Assam on the occasion of Rongali Bihu.
The Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has also extended his Bihu greetings to the people of Assam, wishing for peace and prosperity in the State. In a statement, he said that the spirit of Bihu unite the people of Assam and instills new enthusiasm among the people.
In a press statement, the Sadou Asam Karmachari Parishad has wished that the Bihu would bring everlasting peace and harmony in the State. �It is a festival of joy and merrymaking, and may this spirit last for the entire year,� the statement added.
The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has also wished the people on the occasion of Rongali Bihu and Assamese New Year. In a statement, the party said that all the people of the State should unite on the occasion and pledge for building a strong Assam.
On the occasion of Rongali Bihu, the Indian Army has also extends best wishes and warm greetings to all residents of Assam, an official statement mentioned.
Jana Sankalpa Socio Organization has also extended their heartiest wishes to the people on the occasion of Rongali Bihu and New Year. The Save Guwahati Build Guwahati has also conveyed its best wishes to the people of Assam on the occasion.
