The Northeastern States of India are Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Manipur and Mizoram.

"A special programme to provide home lighting systems to all border villages of Arunachal Pradesh is at an advanced stage of implementation," Patil said.
