GUWAHATI, June 29 � The State Government has assured tea tribe organisations that no member of the Adivasi community would be excluded from the NRC, which is being updated.
A meeting held on the issue at the Forest Minister�s office was attended by representatives of the All Adivasi Students� Association of Assam (AASAA), Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha and Adivasi Sahitya Sabha.
The AASAA president, Raphael Kujur, said that the assurance given by Prateek Hajela, State Coordinator for the NRC updating exercise was satisfactory.
