Gossaigaon beat Goreswar 6-2

MANGALDAI, Sept 28 - Riding on a fine hattrick from Nigerian striker Chinedu Ngange, GB Football Academy (GBFA) Gossaigaon trounced Goreswar Anchalik Tribal Sports Association (GATSA) 6-2 in the inaugural match of the 36th Amba Medhi Prize Money Invitational Football Tournament at the Mangaldai Stadium here today. For the winners Chinedu Ngange�s Nigerian compatriot Festus Chury along with Joss Iswari and Amjao Singh scored one goal each. Manjit Das and Raju Deka reduced the margin for the Goreswar team. At half time Gossaigaon were leading 3-1.

Earlier, former international footballer Debasish Roy, in presence of State Water Resource Minister Basanta Das, DC, Darrang Manoj Kumar, vice president of AFA, Dilip Borkataki and other guests, inaugurated the tournament in the brief inaugural function.

Organiser Mangaldai Sports Association honoured former noted footballers Liladhar Das, Moran Ghosh and referee Badar Ali and former Ranji cricketer Nasir Gul Khan. Today�s match: South Eastern Railway (Jharkhand) vs 16th APBn Morigaon.
