Gorkha Students� Union session concludes

JAGIROAD, Oct 3 � The two-day special session of the All Assam Gorkha Students� Union concluded today at Amlighat near here in presence of 300 delegates who had come from all over the State.

The open session was presided over by Dil Bahadur Limbu, president, AAGSU where international boxer Shiba Thapa, fifth position holder of HSLC examination, 2010 Niraj Chetri, Hemanta Saikia, chief editor, Sa-paribar among others were felicitated. Puspadhar Sharma, former general secretary, AAGSU inaugurated the open session which office-bearers from GACDC, AATASU, ATSU, ATSA etc. attended.

Altogether eight resolutions were adopted in the delegates� session on creation of Gorkha Autonomous Council, permanent solution of the State�s problems like flood and erosion etc.

A-37 member new body was constituted in the session with Jagadish Khonal of Sonitpur district and Keshab Sharma of Goalpara district as president and general secretary respectively.
