GUWAHATI, March 13 - The All Assam Gorkha Students� Union (AAGSU), Kamrup district committee, has announced that the students� body will felicitate HSLC and HSSLC students of the Gorkha community who secure 80 per cent and above marks in their respective examinations.
In an executive committee meeting of the organization, it was also decided to offer career counselling to such meritorious students. AAGSU will also take pro-active measures to provide suitable placement to needy candidates of the Kamrup (Metropolitan) district. The students� body also demanded immediate steps for rehabilitation of the indigenous people who were evicted from the Amchang wildlife sanctuary.
