SILCHAR, June 29 � A goods train jumped the rails near Shalchapra goods yard in Cachar district around 10 pm on Saturday.
According to NF Railway sources, the engine of the goods train crossed the dead end of the track and six of its wagons got derailed. One accident relief train with crane reached the accident site from New Guwahati on Sunday afternoon. Till the filing of this report, the restoration works of the track and recovery of the wagons were in progress.
