TEZPUR, July 4 - � While a good start to a work is the secret of success in the life of a person, hard work, sincerity, concentration and continuity, courage and confidence are the key points for reaching the desired goal in life,� observed the vice-president of the All Bodo Students� Union (ABSU), Romeo P Narzary, while addressing a special felicitation programme organised by the Bahbari Primary Boro Sahitya Sabha at the Khelmati High school premises recently.
Felicitating altogether 31 brilliant students, Narzary further said that without facing challenges, nobody can succeed in life. Narzary, a JNU product has been working in the field of career guidance and special motivational programmes over the years under the banner of ABSU, while sharing his experiences of taking part in many national and international seminars on various issues, including the problems faced by the students from the marginalised section of the society, in his discourse further said that for reaching one�s goal in the life, a student must try to remain free from the modern day materialistic environment. Urging the student community to be committed to the society they live in, he also said that without a committed outlook, a student cannot prosper in his life.
Another speaker, noted social activist and career analyst, Ranjan K Baruah, giving a presentation on the choice of careers among the felicitated students, said that without a distinct target in life, no student can achieve anything. He said that for brilliant students, there is no difficulty in getting placements. Other dignitaries present on the occasion including the president of the Tezpur district Bodo Sahitya Sabha, Paduram Boro, Principal of Sonali Junior College, Sunit Sarma, Head Master of Omeo Das High School, Tarun Das among others spoke on the present day education system and urged the students to be committed and dedicated towards leading their life on the right track. The event presided over by the president of the Bahbari primary Boro Sahitya Sabha, Sidheswar Rabha was attended by a good number of students from different schools of the area. The former general secretary of Sonitpur district ABSU, Prassanna Rabha, gave the welcome address while the education secretary of Bahbari Primary Boro Sahitya Sabha, Sunil Kochari delivered his keynote address emphasising the importance of the event. Nareswar Boro, adviser of the literary body, offered the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
