GUWAHATI, March 14 - Guwahati Baptist Church, founded by Nathan Brown, Miles Bronson and Cyrus Barker in 1845, is preparing a week-long programme to observe Good Friday and Easter.
It will begin on March 20 at 9.15 am as Palm Sunday, followed by daily prayer meeting at 5.30 pm till March 24 in the church at Panbazar.
The Good Friday service will be held in the church on March 25 at 1.30 pm, preceded by a fasting prayer meeting. Sunrise service will be held on March 27 at 5 am at Nabagraha graveyard and on the same day Easter service will be held in the church at 9.15 am. The leaders of the church will offer prayers during this week for the sick and the elderly members.
