BISWANATH CHARIALI, April 18 � The golden jubilee celebration of Pub-Behali Bohagi Mela at Bedeti under Biswanath subdivision in Sonitpur district commenced on April 13 with a variety of programmes.
The celebration began with flag hoisting by Pradip Kr Sharma, president of the celebration committee. It was followed by swahid tarpan. The rest of the days� programmes include hoisting of golden jubilee flag, colourful cultural procession and assembling of local and invited artists on April 21, Mukoli Bihu and Bor Bihuati competitions on April 22, sports and cultural competitions on April 23, staging of a full-fledged drama Mahanagar on April 24 and felicitation, souvenir release and cultural night on April 25 in which Zubin Garg is likely to enthrall the audience.
A strong golden jubilee celebration committee has already been formed in this respect with Pradip Kr Sharma as the president and Deva Kr Baruah as the general secretary. The committee has sought public help and cooperation to make the event a grand success.
