MORIGAON, Jan 30 � The concluding session of the year- long golden jubilee celebration of the Morigaon College began on January 29 with a four-day programme.
The programme began with the flag hoisting By Dr Hare Krishna Dev Sarma, followed by smriti tarpan by PN Mazumdar, president, governing body, Morigaon College. The golden jubilee flag was hoisted by Jon Jonali Boruah, Parliamentary Secretary, Government of Assam. The exhibition held on the occasion was inaugurated by Dr Surya Das, retired Station Director, All India Radio, Guwahati.
In the open function, 50 distinguished citizens were felicitated. In the afternoon, five books edited by associate professors of different departments of the college were released in a function.
