Silchar: The year-long Golden Jubilee celebration of Radha Madhab College situated at Sonai Road here will commence from February 7.
The principal of the college Dr Debashish Roy who is also the secretary the Golden Jubilee celebration committee informed the media on Friday that the celebrations would commence with a rally from the District Sports Association campus which would reach the college after roaming across prime streets of the town.
The principal informed that the college, established on May 31 1971, over the years has been on the path of academic excellence and many infrastructural developments are undergoing for facilitating the academic and administrative chores.
Sudarshan Gupta, faculty of the college and organising secretary of the Jubilee celebrations and convener of the souvenir committee informed that the Governing body of the college headed by Lakhikanta Bhattacharjee has extended wholehearted cooperation in making the Jubilee celebration a grand success. Debashish Shome, an alumnus of the college and also the president of the alumni association for the Jubilee celebration informed that a slew of activities have been lined up for making the grand celebration memorable. Dr Ashima Roy, vice principal of the college also attended the media interaction.
