Gold Recognition Award to GVK EMRI

GUWAHATI, Nov 25 - The American Heart Association has given the Gold Recognition Award to GVK EMRI for the year 2015 for exemplary first aid, CPR and advanced cardiovascular care life-saving training programmes.

This award was announced and awarded by the representative of the American Heart Association at the Update of 2015 Guidelines, India event held at HICC, Hyderabad.

GVK EMRI is an international training centre recognised by the American Heart Association since 2007.

This year, over 10,000 healthcare providers in India were certified by GVK EMRI in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and paediatric life support certification courses put together.

GVK EMRI has over 70 valid and certified instructors of the AHA on its rolls. Doctors, nurses, paramedics and emergency medical technicians seek these life support skills based on global certification.

Junior doctors, residents in medical institutions and medical staff working in hospital emergency units are presently encouraged and mandated to acquire these life support skills.

GVK EMRI is also an international training centre recognised by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Over 47,825 medical personnel were trained in global certifications at GVK EMRI so far. GVK EMRI has a specialised department of Emergency Medicine Learning Centre (EMLC). EMLC has trained over 2, 30,000 candidates in different fields so far, including 40,000 First Responders, 50,000 Basic Emergency Medical Technicians, 500 Advanced EMTs, 2-year Advanced EMTs, 12,000 doctors and 34,000 nurses.
