DIBRUGARH, May 7 - Gold bars weighing about 1.493 grams were seized from one person at Dibrugarh Airport in Mohanbari here today following interception by the CISF personnel, Superintendent of Police Subashini Sankaran told The Assam Tribune.
The person has been detained by the CISF for questioning at the Airport. Custom officials have also joined the investigation. The details like the value or where the gold bars came from and where it was being carried or who all are involved, will be known only after the questioning, said SP Sankaran.
Unofficial sources said that the person was carrying some nine gold bars in his rectum area.
