Golaghat Inspector of Schools eyes better results next time

DERGAON, May 31 - �The result of HSLC examination in Golaghat district is not good and it ranks at 16th with a pass percentage of 44.28 per cent.� This was stated by Golaghat Inspector of Schools Hiren Gogoi.

However, he assured that he would take extra efforts to improve the result in next year. The pass percentage of Dergaon Centre is 73.82 per cent, while the SEBA�s overall pass percentage is 47.96 per cent.

Out of 573 candidates, 423 students cleared the examination. As many as 216 students secured first division, 144 secured second division and 63 secured third division. Among them, 61 secured Star marks and 20 secured Distinction marks.

Rittwik Kondoloy from Shishu Bharati EM School secured 100 marks in General Science. The pass percentage of Dergaon Girls� HS School is 82.14 per cent, where 37 students secured first division, 38 secured second division and 17 secured third division along with eight Start Marks and three Distinction Marks.

The pass percentage of Dergaon Indranee Devi HS School is 77.5 per cent, where 11 secured first division, 17 secured second division, three secured third division with four students securing Star marks.

The pass percentage of Dergaon HS School is 67 per cent, where 11 students secured first division, 25 secured second division and 11 secured third division with two students securing Start marks.

The pass percentage of Sankardev Shishu Niketan is 94.3 per cent, where 26 students secured first division, seven secured second division with two students securing Distinction marks and seven Star marks.

The pass percentage of Dergaon Jatiya Vidyalaya is 96 per cent, where 18 students secured first division, and six secured second division with seven students securing Distinction marks and five Star marks.

The pass percentage of Amara sarma Girls� High School and 11th APBn High School is 50 per cent. Similarly, the students of flood-prone and ST dominated Dusutimukh High School also achieved comparatively good results with four students securing first division including two Star marks.
