JORABAT, Jan 20 - Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today ruled out any kind of poll alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party, but added that his party is open to understanding with other political parties.

The Chief Minister, who was attending an award presentation function at USTM, 9th Mile, on the outskirts of Guwahati city, told mediapersons that even though the Congress has not formed an alliance with any political party in the State, roads are open for an understanding with all parties including the AGP, CPI, CPM, BPF, AIUDF, etc., but not the BJP.

Gogoi also called upon all non-BJP parties to unite to defeat the communal party.
