Gogoi trying to mislead people: AGP

By Staff Reporter

GUWAHATI, Sept 23 The ongoing war of words between arch rivals AGP and the ruling Congress further intensified on Thursday when the AGP accused Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi of trying to mislead the people by resorting to malicious propaganda against the regional party.

Addressing media persons here, AGP president Chandra Mohan Patowary and its legislature party leader PK Mahanta said that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi who was nothing but a puppet in the kingdom of corruption has been leaving no stone unturned to demean the AGP alarmed at the immense response

the partys Ganasanyog Yatra was receiving from the

people.

It needs to be mentioned here that reacting to Mahantas allegation that Congress was following a policy

of discrimination while implementing the welfare schemes, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had yesterday criticized

the AGP in very strong words.

Patowary said that Gogoi instead of slinging mud at the AGP should look into the affairs of his government that has pushed the State into a condition of anarchy by patronizing corruption, black marketeers and syndicates. Gogois inefficiency and double standard has threatened the very existence of the indigenous communities in the State, said Patowary. He added that contrary to the Chief Ministers remarks that AGP had no significant developmental work to its credit, major progressive works were undertaken during the AGPs rule.
