GUWAHATI, Sept 3 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was discharged from the Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai at 6 pm today.
An official release stated that Gogoi would stay at Trident Hotel in the metropolis till September 5 and would reach New Delhi the next day. He is likely to return to Guwahati on September 8.
The Chief Minister has expressed his profound gratitude to the hospital authorities for taking utmost medical care during his month-long treatment following a bypass surgery. Gogoi presented a japi and a xorai to the hospital authorities as a goodwill gesture. Reciprocating the gesture, the hospital authorities said that they would display the gifts prominently at the Asian Heart Institute.
