GUWAHATI, Sept 13 � Chief Minister, Tarun Gogoi today resumed duty after a gap of one and a half month when he was away from the State for his heart surgery.
The Chief Minister held a meeting with his council of ministers to assess the situation. He also met senior police officials.
Talking to reporters, Gogoi said he would look into the scam in food security schemes.
The 75-year-old Chief Minister returned here on Friday after undergoing open heart surgery at the Asian Heart Institute in Mumbai on August 4 last after he was taken ill on July 23 last while attending the National Development Council meeting in New Delhi.
During his convalescence in Mumbai and then in Delhi, Gogoi had directed all his ministers to submit by Wednesday progress reports on the implementation of several schemes. � PTI
