JORHAT.� Jan 17 - Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi joined a protest staged today by artistes comprising singers, musicians, dramatists, actors and cultural activists at the Jorhat Theatre premises against the Citizenship (Ammendment) Bill, 2016.
The opposition to the Bill was organised on the occasion is Silpi Divas today under the banner of �Samuh Silpi Samaj, Jorhat� in which members of over 20 organisations took part.
Noted singer Prasenjit Lahon along with large number of people from the music and cultural fields participated in the protest held by singing songs, reciting poems and delivering dialogues of plays- all written by cultural giant Jyoti Prasad Agarwala. Gogoi also recited a couplet and sang along with the artistes.
